Follow-up:

I thought I would come revisit this post because I have recently run into problems with SyncToy. First of all, there is no Vista support. Right now I am sync’ing up 3 PCs, one using Vista. Second, I have noticed that it has trouble with irregular folder/filenames like /.foldername. A lot of the sync data I thought I was saving hasn’t been there all along! Ouch! When I was trying to run the tool recently, I noticed it wouldn’t “echo” deletions to my backup (right folder). This is some sort of bug in the code and I haven’t had a problem with it in the past, but for some reason it stopped working the other day.

I have now switched all backups to Allway Sync. It’s an excellent free backup program that has much better record-keeping and a ton of better options. Check it out.

I agree with all of the praise for this program. Been using Leech for nine years.

One thing I love about it is that you can copy the program files directly from one machine to the next, including bookmarks, no installation is necessary.

You can switch off the prompt for updates, just go to File > Options and uncheck the \

I’ve been using Leechftp for years and would gladly match you if you want to start a “buy the source from Jan” fund. This program is great and the interface is magnificient. No fuss, no muss, no clutter.

It always surprises me how many Americans like PMQs. I\’m a British political nut, and even I find it boring sometimes.

Earthsuit members were as follows: guitarist Dave Rumsey, keyboardist/vocalist Paul Meany, bassist Roy Mitchell (BEFORE he added “Cardenas”, drummer David “Hutch” Hutchison, and vocalist Adam LaClave. Darren King came in at the end of Earthsuit.

Adam and Hutch are not “Club of the Sons.”
